For many years, watercolour was my preferred medium, but now I work almost exclusively with acrylics; on canvas, on furniture, on whatever I think needs adornment.
My natural style (the one that happens when I’m not thinking about it) is realism, but over the last few years, my preference has been to paint more freely and experiment with colours. I study paintings I wish I’d done and then do one in the same style just to see if I can. How successfully I've managed this particular form of mimicry is a matter of opinion, I suppose.
